Hi I'm Anders Lofgran

I grew up in Washington state. I'm an average BYU-Idaho student. My dream in life is to become an awesome father and husband.

About Me

I like snowboarding, soccer, making home vids and music and rock climbing. I'm an average single student going to BYU-Idaho and I hope to become an optometrist.

Why I am a Mormon

Since I'm at school the atmosphere is quite different from being at home with my parents or like it was in high school. The large majority of those around me live the same standards but even then I still try to be an example for goodness to everyone around me. Even though I'm a mormon, much like everyone else out there, I'm not perfect. The gospel of Jesus Christ does give me hope that I can become better throughout my life. I feel that the main reason I'm a mormon is because of how happy living the gospel of Jesus Christ makes me. Not because of the traditions or lifestyle within the church but because of the Holy Ghost that accompanies me as I strive to follow the will of my Heavenly Father and those whom He guides. At times it almost seems too surreal to be real, but every time I feel the Holy Ghost confirm it again to me that it is real I'm glad to still be on the path of happiness both in the moment and eternal. I, like most other people, gained a confirmation from God that He restored His gospel on the earth through His chosen prophet by small and simple means. It never came in a huge wave or in large chunks, but slowly and sporadically until now I can say that I know. Nothing else in my life has seemed to confirm itself with likewise certainty. Now that I know it doesn't mean that I'll never stray or be perfectly devout but that I have hope for something better in my future as I live it to the best of my ability and rely upon my Savior Jesus Christ. What is even better is knowing that if the Gospel of Christ could change me, it can change anyone.

How I live my faith

I serve in the church by helping, inviting, and encouraging people around me to be missionaries. They then can invite and help others that they know to feel the love and support Christ has for them.
