Hi I'm Martin

I'm a Father, Grandfather, husband of Judith and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a husband and have been very happily married for over 40 years. Judith is the love of my life. I feel like I wake up next to a rose every day. I am the father of 9 children and grandfather to 30. I have enjoyed a rewarding career in financial services, serving my clients and assisting them to achieve their financial goals and aspirations. Family and family time is very important to me. Family history is also very dear to my heart. Both of my parents spent the majority of their working lives as professional genealogists.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Latter-day Saint family and raised in the Church. When I was two years old my father died, leaving my Mother to raise myself and three older brothers. But through the gospel and its teachings I learned that we would one day be a family together again. That death is not the end but a temporary separation. When I was a teenager I fell away from the church. I later started to read the Book of Mormon and examine the Church in depth, with this determination: if I found it to be false I would expose it, but if I discovered it to be true, I would give my life to it. I have come to know for myself that it is true and at the age of 18 committed myself to living the Gospel fully. It has been the best decision I have ever made.

How I live my faith

Although I work full time I spend a good deal of my spare time and even work time serving in the Church as the National Director of Public Affairs for the Church in Great Britain. I also delight to serve others whenever I can, and especially teaching them those things that I have discovered in the gospel of Jesus Christ which I find incredibly exciting and inspiring.
