Hi I'm Noah

I speak Chinese, I am called to serve in the Thailand Bangkok Mission, I love singing in different languages. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

你好!I'm Noah! I was born in America, grew up in Utah and studied three years of Chinese in High School. My hobby is learning Chinese as well as sing in different languages, such as Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Korean, etc. I am the eldest of four siblings and am preparing to serve a full time mission in Thailand, Bangkok. I also love drawing and making people smile! I am a High School graduate preparing to enter the big world and eventually get married in the temple and have an eternal family, as well as teaching and preparing people to enter the Holy Temple and make their families eternal. I love listening to music (especially instrumental or techno-ish) and definitely am a movie-goer. I love hanging out with my friends and share the gospel wherever I go!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Gospel gives me hope. It gives me hope that I can be with my family even after death and be reunited with late loved ones. It gives me hope that I am not a lost cause and can always become clean through the Atonement that our Savior Jesus Christ has given us so that my sins can be washed away no matter what and continue to follow Him and help spread the gospel and that same message of hope, love, truth and freedom to those seeking for it.

How I live my faith

I constantly visit my families when hometeaching and do my best to be a good example wherever I go to convey Christlike attributes to those around me so they can feel the spirit. I constantly read my scriptures every day and pray for guidance in what Heavenly Father wants me to do in this world. I also am preparing for my mission in Thailand by going to mission prep and prepare by practicing and sharing to whomever I meet.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

No, not every member is required to serve a mission. It is a strong commandment in the church that male priesthood holders in the church serve missions throughout the world. Women in the church do not have to serve missions, though have that option to serve if they so desire. Personally, both my mother and father served missions and felt that it was right for them. Many retired seniors, men, women and married couples have also served missions. If you are a member and considering missionary service, pray to Heavenly Father for guidance and help you understand if serving is right for you. Though it is a commandment to serve, it is also a privilege. We must keep the commandments God has given us and live the best we can to serve. Keeping commandments such as the Law of Chastity (Morally clean, no sexual intercourse before marriage, no pornography, etc.) the World of Wisdom (No tea, coffee, drugs, tobacco, etc.) and the other commandments of the church (Including being a full tithe payer) If we do not follow these commandments then we may be unable to serve. Through guidance of a priesthood authority, they may help you determine if you can still serve, wait for a period of time, or may be unable to serve at all, depending on what the sin was. Not everyone will serve full time missions, but we are still serving missions in our everyday lives by being examples and helping spread the gospel with our testimonies and sharing with those around us to continue to build up God's Kingdom.
