Hi I'm Jerry

I grew up in Yakima Valley Washington. I'm an civil engineer. I am a Mormon convert, joining at age 33.

About Me

I am a civil engineer. I have worked as an engineer, farmer and financial service adviser. I love building pinewood derby cars. I am a father of 7, grandfather of 26, and great-grandfather of 2. I have been widowed, divorced, and now happily married for 37 years. I received a medical retirement from my work as an engineer because of a back injury.

Why I am a Mormon

When I took the missionary discussions, and learned the doctrines of the Mormon Church, it all sounded familiar to me. I had not agreed with the teachings a lot of the protestant religions that I had visited. I have been truly blessed by my Heavenly Father throughout my life and happy to serve Him always. I love the idea of an eternal family. I have learned that the Savior's love is unconditional.

How I live my faith

I have served my ward as a financial clerk. I have held leadership positions in all the priesthood organizations. I read the scriptures daily. I have been a cub master in the Cub Scout Program and have organized several pinewood derby races.
