Hi I'm Red

I'm an only child. A red head. A journal writer. And a Mormon!

About Me

Hi, I'm Red. Well...that's what they call me anyway:) I am currently attending college in a small town studying journalism, marketing, and interpreting for the deaf. I had planned on serving a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints since 2013, and even moved to California for work after I graduated high school, yet because of medical complications, I am unable to serve as of yet. I firmly believe in the phrase "every member a missionary", though, and am determined to help show to gospel to any and all who are interested.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have seen that when I am living the teachings that Christ promotes, my life is easier. I have learned that Christ doesn't always lift our burden or struggles from us but He does give us the strength to carry on if we ask Him in a sincere manner. I recognize the peace that I feel as I study the words of biblical prophets, and that of the modern day prophet we have on earth with us now- Thomas S. Monson.

How I live my faith

I try and live my faith by not only attending church meetings but by participating in them as well. I also try to keep up my personal scripture study so I can come closer to The Lord on a personal basis too. One of my new favorite things to do is journal the tender mercies (blessings the Lord has given you) I have experienced at the end of every day. Then I say my nightly prayers. It really humbles me to physically recognize all that God has given me and continues to give me in spite of my imperfections.
