Hi I'm Eric Benjamin Mika

I'm from Boston, Mass. I played basketball for Brigham Young University. I'm serving a mission in Rome, Italy. I'm a Mormon

About Me

My name is Eric. I am currently serving an LDS mission in Rome, Italy from May, 2014 to May of 2016. I grew up for 10 years in Boston, Massachusetts and then my family moved to Alpine, Utah. I have 3 brothers and sisters and I love basketball. I went to and played basketball at Lone Peak High School and did the same for one year at Brigham Young University before leaving on my mission

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have read The Book of Mormon and know without a doubt that it is true. Because I have done that and in essence learned that ''the keystone'' of this Restored gospel is true, I know Joseph Smith was and is a true Prophet that was called of God- to again lead his children out of spiritual darkness. Because of these truths I also know that Thomas S. Monson is a true Prophet today. I know we can live with our families eternally and this knowledge makes me happier than anything else in the world. I know that I'm a child of God and because He is a loving Heavenly Father, I can overcome any and every difficulty I will face in this life with His help and guidance. I know when we ask for His help, He will be there

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a two year mission in the Rome, Italy mission and will be doing so until the spring of 2016. When I turned 18 and was old enough to go on a mission I decided to wait and do a year of college before leaving and so when I turned 19 I officially submitted my "papers" for my missionary service and left 2 weeks after winter semester ended.
