Hi I'm Eden

I grew up in California. I love animals, beaches, and baking. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second youngest of five children, one sister and three brothers. I was born in California, moved to southern Alberta for the beginning of my childhood, then back to sunny California it was. I've always lived on a ranch with acreage and animals, including horses; I LOVE riding. I've been known as the bug-or spider-girl since I was young, I found them fascinating--therefore, I would catch them and keep them in jars as my pets--yes, I was a tomboy; but, I still liked to play dress up and play with barbies. As I grew and matured I realized that although my parents were more strict than everyone else's, I didn't really mind. I knew I was privileged, having a knowledge my divine nature, self-worth, and of where I came from and where I will return. Watching my older siblings make mistakes and rebel and seeing the sadness it brought my mother made it easy for me to not want anything to do with rebellion, I was happy with where I was and where I was going. I've had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ from a young age; noticing others around me--I was the minority, meaning the only member in my entire school-- I was the only one, and so it was my opportunity to share everything I knew with them. My friends stopped swearing and attended primary and mutual activities with me, and eventually made it to church with me. Sharing the gospel at such a young age strengthened my own testimony.

Why I am a Mormon

I never had to search for the truth; I was privileged enough to be born in this church. I have studied many other religions out of curiosity and they are beautiful as well, any faith or denomination that chooses to follow and bring people unto Christ is righteous. However, the Mormon church as the divine revelation of the covenants we need to make in order to return to our Father in Heaven. Such as, baptism by immersion and the gift of the Holy Ghost, etc. We have the authority of God here on Earth called the Priesthood and a prophet who leads and guides us and gives us divine revelation for our day. We have what's necessary for our families to remain together for eternity.

How I live my faith

Jesus Christ is the son of God, the "Light of the World" and we are His disciples. Metaphorically, He is the 'Sun' and we are His rays. That is a tremendous responsibility! We are to always live as He would, we are examples of disciples who follow Jesus Christ. Knowing this, helps me live my faith; I can't just attend church on Sunday, I have to live everyday of my life as he would. Helping and serving others, forgetting myself and my own selfish desires, forgiving and forgetting those who wrong us, doing good all our days. I have recently been called to serve in the Argentina Comodoro Rivadavia Mission, where I get to spread this exact message and bring the people of Argentina unto Christ.
