Hi I'm Cami

I'm a missionary in the Texas Houston Mission, Spanish-speaking. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at Utah State University, but I am taking a leave of absence to serve in the Texas Houston Spanish-speaking mission. During the school year, I spend a lot of time in the library and I really enjoy school. I also like to sing and play the piano and the guitar. At school, I really enjoy going on hikes, having dance parties, and seeing live concerts. In the summer, I work at a local shaved ice shack and spend a lot of time with my four sisters and my nephew. I also like to exercise either by playing softball and other sports, or just going on a run. I greatly enjoy traveling and learning new things. I am a very curious person, so if I wonder about something I will always research it and find that there are so many things to know and to try. I stand with Helen Keller when she said, "Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing at all" and I plan to live by that statement.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I prayed to know of the truth of the Book of Mormon and my prayer was answered. Not only once, but over and over I am reminded of the truth that I learned at that time. I know that it was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith. I know that this is the last dispensation and that the priesthood will never again be taken from the Earth. The Atonement is the greatest gift that I have, and I have felt of its cleansing power through my own repentance. I have the most precious knowledge that I am a daughter of God. He has never let me down, and I know that He loves me, and that is why He has blessed me with trials. Yes, trials are blessings, because they allow me to grow and to learn how to become like Him.

How I live my faith
