Hi I'm Bradford

I've lived all over the world, I'm a runner, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm a college student and I love having a good time with my friends, and I love having friends. I've lived all over the world moving place to place with my family for the military. I was born in Turkey and have since lived in Alabama, Virginia, Italy, Texas Wyoming, Washington DC, Japan, and Germany. I like keeping my interests broad so I can try to relate with everyone I meet. I do have a special place in my heart though for running, books, and movies. Some of my goals in life are to work in the medical field, run a 4 minute mile, and run the Amazing Race with my Dad.

Why I am a Mormon

So I was born into this church. And I've always been taught the beliefs and teachings of this church. And for a long time I had an understanding of the church, I knew what the church believed and things like that. But I had never received a spiritual understanding or testimony of the church. My biggest problem was I didn't know if Jesus was the Christ. And in my head I definitely thought if Jesus was in fact the Christ, or the son of God, then this would be his church. And this started to bother me. I thought why am I living my life the way I am if am not even sure I'm doing for the right reasons. And this is why the scriptures are so fantastic. The proof of Jesus being our Savior has been written down by so many witnesses. The scriptures have been saved for us to read the testimonies of the past so we too can build our own testimonies. The Bible testifies of Christ and The Book of Mormon strengthens that testimony. The Book of Mormon has a very special promise that if you read and pray about it with a sincere heart you can learn for yourself that Jesus is the Christ. And that's what I did. As I read the Book of Mormon for the first time I began to become convinced that Jesus is the Christ. I could feel that the testimonies of the prophets in the Book of Mormon were real and not the writing of another person. I could feel each one of them individually testifying of Christ, asking for the future generations to follow His example. And because of this experience I have remained a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I try and live my faith by example. Am not a perfect person and every one has their ups and downs in life. But my goal is when people think of me, is that they have a good image. And that image is because I try to live the standards of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. The great thing about being a Mormon, is that sometimes we do mess up. And I've messed up. But I have the comfort and knowledge that through Jesus Christ, our Savior, we can move on. We can start over. Because of him we can progress to be more Christlike in our day to day lives.
