Hi I'm Sally

I love the mountains and the ocean, I have 3 daughters, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a single mom of 3 daughters. My two oldest are in college, and my youngest is a sophomore in high school. I am a full time Mom, I am grateful everyday because it is the best job EVER. If I was not a mom, I would be diving with dolphins in a warm ocean somewhere. I love the outdoors and thankfully so do my kids. We like to camp and hike and vacation at the beach. I mountain bike almost everyday. I love to lay on the beach and play in the ocean. Actually just about anything outside makes me happy. Me and one of my daughters just got our dirt bikes made street legal so we can enjoy them on and off the dirt. I have been divorced 4 years now, I was married for 20. Life does not go the way you always plan, but life is beautiful. I have an amazing, supportive mom, dad, brother and sisters. I am so blessed.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because it helps me be a better person. I know the church is Christ's church. Even as I type this I can feel the spirit testifying to me that this is true. Usually when I feel the spirit it is a warm, peaceful feeling in my belly, head and I just feel peaceful all over. I know that when I pray Heavenly Father hears my prayers. I had a lot of hard times when I was married and being able to turn to my Father in Heaven and talk to him about what I was going through and ask him about what I thought I should be doing was extremely comforting. I did not always follow what I felt prompted to do because I thought it would be too hard. But, in the end, I know he gave me strength to do what I needed to do to be healthy and to be able to take care of my children. I know with all my heart that Heavenly Father is aware of me and my wants and needs. I know he sent his son, Jesus Christ, to earth to set an example for each of us to strive to live like. I know Christ suffered in Gethsemane for our sins and all our pain, and then died on the cross so we can be resurrected and live with him and our Father in Heaven again. I am grateful for Joseph Smith for restoring the gospel to the earth. I am thankful that there is a living prophet on the earth today, Thomas Monson, and that he receives revelation for the church. I know if I do my best to follow his counsel and the counsel of the other leaders of the church, I will be blessed. I am so grateful for the temple. I love going to the temple to learn of the blessings that are mine, if I do my best to obey the commandments. I am so happy to know that I will be with my family after this life. I love Heavenly Father, Christ and his church.

How I live my faith

How I live my faith? I am active in the church in our area. I am the leader over the young single people, ages 18-30. I make sure they know about church activities and programs that are going on for people in their age group. I am also leader for the older single adults, age 31 and over. We go to firesides together, and I make sure they know about any other activities that are available for them to participate in with other people that are single and members of the church. I then report back to the bishop and his counselors about each of the people in these groups and let bishop know if any of these people need any help. I am also a visiting teacher with my daughter, we visit 3 women in our ward. We have become friends with each of these women and have been able to help them, if they need a favor or just someone to talk to. I love being a part of my ward family.
