Hi I'm Matti

I am a Finn & Industrial engineering and management major. I am a Mormon.

About Me

The most precious memories to me have been the times when our family has spent time together. I've treasured these times since we seldom come together due to our family living far apart in two different continents. So yes, I am a family-oriented guy who can't wait to have a family of his own. I've noted that the relationships within our families are what matters most, so I've decided to become the best of a person I can so that one day I can be the best father a man can be.

Why I am a Mormon

I desired to know if the Book of Mormon was the word of God and if Joseph Smith really was given authority by God to translate it and restore the same church Jesus Christ had organized when He had been living on the earth. I read the Book of Mormon daily for about a month or so after which I felt inspired to pray about it to ask if it really was the word of God as it states in Moroni 10:4-5 to do (Google it). That night I knelt down and started to pray and asked if it was God's word. After finishing my prayer I felt this overwhelming peace that I could not recall ever had felt before. It was a strong spiritual experience which answered my prayer confirming the divinity of the Book of Mormon. After that experience I've been totally convinced that the Book of Mormon is the word of God in addition to the Bible. I have no question about it. I've had multiple spiritual experiences concerning the Word of God but it was the most convincing answer to a very specific question I've had, and that makes a strong foundation in being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, or the Mormon church.

How I live my faith

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is meant for us to change to become like our Heavenly Father is, perfect (Matt 5:48). It is a lifelong process where we keep trying our best every single day. Through Jesus Christ, our Savior, we can overcome our burdens and mistakes that we've made by helping us get through the heartache and guilt that we feel when we do wrong. This is how I live my faith; following Christ's teachings and example to change to become a better person.
