Hi I'm Josh Jackman

I'm from Utah. I played football for my high school for four years. I am a state champion wrestler and power-lifter. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Utah County, Utah. I have two younger brothers and two younger sisters. I am a recent high school graduate from Pleasant Grove High school. I did well in school and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 2014. I love athletics and have heavily participated in many sports. I played basketball and soccer as a young boy. As I entered my middle school and high school age, I focused in on football as my main sport. I also participated in wrestling and power-lifting. I am a state champion wrestler and a state champion power-lifter. I am also a big fan of the outdoors and love to go camping and fishing. In addition to those things I also love cars and had the opportunity to restore and sell a 1990 Corvette my Junior/Senior year of high school. I have also achieved the award of Eagle Scout in the scouting program. I left June 11th to serve the Lord in the New York, Utica mission! I have loved my mission to this point, and know that as I continue to work hard that the remainder of my mission will be just as fun. I plan to return from my mission and get into business. I have started and operated some of my own small businesses and was also a property manager at my place of work. I love business and hope to create a very successful business when I return from serving my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be a Mormon for a few reasons. When I was young I was a Mormon because my family was and I was born into the church. Since then, I have had the opportunity to read and re-read the Book of Mormon on multiple occasions. I have since gained my own testimony of the Book of Mormon and of the church. I have always had a peaceful spirit when talking about the church and know without a doubt that it is the true church on the earth today. I also have a testimony of the leaders of the church as well as our living prophet who is on the earth today. I know that they lead and guide through inspiration which comes directly from our Heavenly Father. I would like to think that even without the church in my life I would still be a good person but I will never know for sure. I know that being a member has helped me become who I am and to be the person I am today.

How I live my faith

I have served in many youth callings up to this point in my life. In the deacons quorum I had the opportunity to serve as the secretary, the first counselor, then the second counselor and then president. In the teachers quorum I had the opportunity to serve as the first counselor, then secretary and then as president. In the priests quorum I had the opportunity to serve as secretary and then as first assistant to the Bishop. I have also served as my Sunday school class president for many years. I also had the opportunity to serve as the stake youth family history consultant. I am currently serving as a full time missionary in the New York, Utica misison. I have always enjoyed serving in my wide variety of callings and always try to bring new, fresh ideas to my callings. I have been taught by my mother from an early age to magnify your calling and have always tried to take this counsel and implement it in how I serve. I have learned much from my leaders and my peers who I have interacted with.
