Hi I'm Jenni Hathaway

I am serving an 18 month mission in good ole' South Carolina.

About Me

I came out to South Carolina with one plan, to serve the Lord and hoping that all the rest would fall into place. One year later and I am having the time of my life and finding a lot of different struggles, challenges, blessings and miracles along the way--and I still don't know what my future holds. Yet I know that all is and will be well. I am in the hands of my Savior and He is the Master Planner.

Why I am a Mormon

Many people believe that being into the church gives you an automatic testimony of this Church and Gospel. That is not true. To know something spiritually, it must be received spiritually. I know and am reassured countless times, that my Heavenly Father knows me personally and loves me because I have asked. It is through prayer and seeking to learn, that I have come to know that Heavenly Father has a plan for me and that Christ suffered and atoned for my pains, sicknesses and sins. I know that I am a daughter of God. I know my purpose in this life is to come closer to Christ by wholeheartedly depending upon Him and His Atonement. I know where I am going and I know where I am from. This knowledge, and my family, are the most precious things I have. Both I have because the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true and His church is once again upon the earth.

How I live my faith

Faith is an interesting word. You can have your faith, you can be a part of your faith, you can live your faith. Faith is a power through which you can cause things to happen. Faith is the result of decision, action and consequence. My faith grows every time I have to face a challenge. Being out on a mission provides many opportunities to grow faith. I find my faith is strengthened most after I have desperately needed to be on my knees to seek comfort, council and strength from the Lord. He is there and always has been. I am grateful for the opportunity to know Him better.
