Hi I'm Cody Gardner

I'm serving a mission in South Dakota. It's really cold because I'm from Mesa, Arizona. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm from Mesa, AZ and I and my family are huge ASU football fans. Go Devils! I love my family and they mean the world to me. I enjoy playing any and all kinds of sports. If I could do anything I wanted, I would travel the world until the day I die. I love to see new things, meet new people, and explore different cultures. I am currently serving a mission in Casper, Wyoming which is part of the South Dakota Rapid City mission. I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a nice Mormon/LDS family. I was always rebellious as a kid and felt I had to learn for myself what I believed in. I fell away from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at age 16. At that time in my life I didn't care where I came from, why I was here on earth, and where I was going after wards. The choices I was making at that time in my life caused me to end up in a jail cell in Phoenix Arizona. I was lost, miserable, and confused. I found a Book of Mormon while I was incarcerated and I began to read it. As I read, all of the things I had learned from church in my childhood came flooding back to me. I began to feel the power of Jesus Christ's atonement work in my life. I prayed and read day and night ,and even in the worst of all places, I came to know that the Book of Mormon was true and that the book was of God. I know that Heavenly Father was aware of me and always had been. He knew what I needed and he knows what you need as well. I know that the power of the atonement is real and that it changes lives. It changed mine. I have been freed from all those things that had a grip on my life and caused me misery. I know that there is no way I could have overcome those things by myself if it wasn't for My Savior Jesus Christ. The LDS church is real and truly God's church on this earth. I know it. This is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to follow my savior Jesus Christ in everything I do. I'm not perfect but I try. This is why I chose to come on a mission for the church. Because of Jesus Christ, I have changed my life. If I share what I know and give some soul the opportunity to experience the joy that I feel, than that joy increases and brings me closer to Jesus Christ. I love the Gospel, and especially the Book of Mormon. If you have not read it, read it. The Book of Mormon will change your life. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is God's true church. I live my faith by sharing that knowledge with others so that they too can feel the joy that comes from that knowledge.
