Hi I'm Kristal

I married my dream man, had 5 cool kids, take pictures, cook meals, and can't keep a plant alive. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the same small town for 20 years. 2000 people, same little house. I am the youngest of 5 girls. I married my dream guy who moved around his whole life and is the oldest of 4 boys. We've had 5 super cool kids that we play with everyday. We love learning more about health and nutrition. We always have music playing, and we're usually dancing or singing to it. We spend half of our day in the kitchen and the other half either outside or at parks/zoos/pools.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I KNOW it is the True church of Jesus Christ. I was raised knowing this and for a short time in my 20's I struggled to feel the spirit to know that it is true. I took the discussions, along with my 2 oldest children when they were babies, and these sisters started with the basics with me and helped me realize that's what I needed. I needed to read the Book of Mormon. I needed to pray to know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet. I needed to pray to feel it in my heart. To feel the spirit that I had felt in my teenage years when life had less distractions and it was easier. And after a few months I started feeling the spirit stronger and stronger. And I've known since then that this is the true church. I still struggle at times when the adversary leads me down selfish paths, or distracting paths in life, but when I'm doing what I know I should be, and not being an overly busy, distracted person, I feel the spirit and am guided daily.

How I live my faith

We live our faith each day…and strive to live it each moment of each day. We hold weekly family home evenings where we teach these monkeys about Jesus, or they teach us. We have family council each week to meet as a family and set goals to help us have the spirit in our home more fully. My husband is a ward missionary. He loves helping the full time missionaries meet, and invite and welcome those that are ready to hear more about our faith. I serve as enrichment leader. I have a committee and we get fun activities together for one night of each month for the ladies in our ward to learn more about the gospel, or more about becoming better and stronger mothers, wives and women. The #1 way that we live our faith is by showing kindness, forgiveness, and patience here in the walls of our own home.

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

We believe that he is a separate being. A spirit being. And that he can dwell in holy places. If we want the spirit with us, we need to make good choices, and put ourselves in clean places. The Holy Ghost (spirit) helps guide us to make righteous choices, helps comfort us when we are scared, helps enlighten our minds when we are needing it, and helps keep our minds thinking pure thoughts.
