Hi I'm JoLee

I've lived in Alaska nearly my entire life, I love reading books and playing volleyball, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished my sophomore year at college and I am about to serve a mission in the Dominican Republic for a year and a half. I've played and loved volleyball since I was in 6th grade and played throughout high school, lettering 3 years in a row. I love books and I love this Church.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this Church, but I have prayed and studied and I have chosen to continue in this Church of my own free will. I know this Church is true, as well as the Book of Mormon. If I did not think this Church was true, I would not be serving a mission. I am serving a mission because of the joy the truths of this Church give me and the love I feel from our Father in Heaven for me and for all of His children.

How I live my faith

I've been the organist for my ward as well as the choir accompanist. Last summer in between semesters I was able to teach Sunday School for children 4 and 5 years of age, it was a great learning experience. I've learned that when you can explain gospel principles to children, you yourself gain a better understanding of them. It's also nice to have the assurance that doctrines and principles really aren't complicated, they are rather simple, the way the Lord intended.
