Hi I'm Takoma Lindsay

I love sports and music. I love my family and faith. I am a Mormon

About Me

I grew up in Evanston, WY. When we first moved there we had a little ranch with a little bit of everything. I loved living in that environment. In high school I loved playing sports for the school. We had a ton of success and we actually won state in basketball my senior year. It was an insane game and I will never forget that feeling! After I graduated I went to college at Utah State University. Now I am getting ready to serve in the Texas McAllen Mission and couldn't be more excited! Especially because I get to go to the Mexico MTC and learn spanish.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in an LDS family and so I have always had the gospel in my life. However, the reason I am still strong in the church and am going on a mission is because of the testimony I have received for myself. It started happening in high school and I had some really strong spiritual experiences. When I went to college I was sort of alone at first. I went to church and was doing all the little things again and it is unbelievable how much it changes your life. I have been insanely happier and my testimony is off the charts now. That is what I hope to help others to get on my mission. The gospel really does bring such great happiness in this life and comfort for the next and I cannot wait to help others receive that as well.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by being a friend to everyone and helping people with their lives. I love helping people and seeing the joy they get. For example, right now I have a co-worker who has a huge mug of coffee every morning. I am trying to help her stop and bring her an apple most mornings. She is awesome and we give each other a hard time and currently she has cut that cup in half. It is things like that that make this life enjoyable. I am leaving on a mission soon and will be serving in the Texas McAllen Mission. I couldn't be more excited to go serve the Lord and people in Texas. I know that it will be the greatest experience of my life and hope that I can help as many people as possible to find Christ.
