Hi I'm Merry

I play piano and guitar. I love music and spending time with my friends and family. I'm a twin and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm 19 years old. I love to read, write, play piano, guitar, dance, and draw. I love the outdoors and especially playing soccer or basketball. I enjoy watching anime and any time I can spend with people is a splendid time! I'm willing to try new things and currently am just a few credits away from getting my associates degree before transferring to BYU. I will serve a mission in Argentina and plan on serving faithfully then return home to make a life of my own.

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up in the church but I consider myself a convert. When I was a younger teenager I prayed about the Book of Mormon and asked if it was true. A strong feeling of peace washed over me, assuring me that it's true. Ever since that day I've never had a doubt about the truthfulness of the gospel. I believe in God the eternal Father and in his son Jesus Christ and in the Holy Ghost. I believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated and I read out of it all the time side by side with the Book of Mormon. I know without a doubt that this is the truest church on the earth today and that it holds the fulness of Jesus Christs gospel, that it was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith. I know that my family can be together forever and that I can have the opportunity to share with others what makes me happy. I love serving others and I love seeing them happy. I know that kindness is the Lords way and as I come unto Him and do as He asks, my family and I will all receive the blessings for it and I will come back to Heaven to live with God again. Heavenly Father loves me and every single person who lived, lives, and will live and he wants the best for all of us. He wants us to come and live with him again. I also know that God answers prayers. My prayers have been answered my whole life! Maybe not in the way I expected but in the way I needed because He knows me better than I know myself. I know the joy that this church brings in my life and in knowing that God is always here for me and that He can and is willing to give me and everyone else anything they are in need of if they only ask.

How I live my faith

As a young teenager I helped plan activities for all the youth of our church and as I got older I started going to the Singles Ward which is pretty self explanatory because I was single. Upon going there I was called to be the ward pianist! It was exciting to play piano while everyone sings along. After that I went back to the family ward where my family goes to and I was asked to play piano for the third hour where all the women in the church meet together. It was so much fun and I enjoy serving others! Serving others is a sure sign you are serving God and it makes me so happy to see others happy. I go to lessons and meetings with the sister missionaries once or twice a week and enjoy having the opportunity to share with others what makes me happy.
