Hi I'm Bennett

I was raised as a Member of the Church, I am a writer, photographer, computer guru and a retro passionate. And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Hello all, My name is Bennett. I have been a member all my life and am proud of this! I am a writer, my best genre's are science fiction, slice-of-life, and Mormon fantasy. I also take inspiration pictures of my surroundings in hopes that I might show unto all the glory of God the Father's creations. My hobbies range from computer science to retro and vintage collecting. Anything from old styled Atari games to vaguely remembered computer parts I have floating around my room. My interests are in Politics, Astronomy, and History. Finally, all of my 60+ family members all live and attend church in the Arlington Ward!!

Why I am a Mormon

Besides being born under the covenant of my past family, I have chosen to stay with this church because through deep study and prayer, I have found this to be the truest church upon the face of this earth. The people may not be perfect, but the church itself, with God as the head, is perfect. It has helped me stay out of much trouble that I might end up in otherwise, and has provided an excellent guild to how to live my life and connect with our Eternal Heavenly Father. I see it has the missing peices that were taken out of the Holy Bible when it was translated and altered by evil kings of the past.

How I live my faith

I am currently in the Young Mens Program as a Priest. I bless the Sacrament every week and take on the responsibilities of those who cannot make it, and make it a point to help others in the Ward get along. I am also an Eagle Scout in our church sponsored troop of 417. I am very learned in the gospel and make it a priority to share as much as I can through social networking and displaying my faith during daily activities. I do not contend with those of other faiths but respect their beliefs and invite them to see my faith.

Can you tell me about Mormon customs: how you dress for church, what holidays you celebrate, etc.?

Members attending Sunday services will most likely be wearing their “Sunday best,” which may include suits, sport coats, and ties for the men and modest dresses or skirts for the women. Children also typically dress up for Sunday. Members of the Church celebrate Christmas and Easter, regarding these two events as the most spiritually significant days in history because of the birth, suffering, death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Church members also celebrate the regional and national holidays of the countries where they live. Church members also celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, and similar events. Show more Show less
