Hi I'm Michaela

I was born and raised in Utah. I love my family with all my heart, and that includes my two dogs! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Michaela and it's nice to meet you! Here is a little bit about me... I love music, books, movies, friends, family, and dogs! I plan to go to college to become a Radiologist, but first I'm going to serve an LDS mission in Minneapolis Minnesota! I love BBQ's and the smell of freshly mowed grass. My favorite season is spring. I have developed a love for plants and flowers while working in a floral shop. My dogs are my best friends. Their names are Dazy and Kleo. I love adventure, stories, history, and camping! I enjoy road trips and Oreo's. Most of all I love the gospel!

Why I am a Mormon

My parents met at church and I was raised in the LDS religion. Some people might see this as the reason I am a Mormon. However, I see this simply as my introduction into the church. For some people missionaries introduced them to the church and then they had to choose whether they believe it or not. Well, my parents were my missionaries. When I was a teenager I had come to realize that I could no longer lean on my parents testimonies. I came face to face with a major and potentially life changing decision. I had to choose if I really wanted to be part of this church or not. I took a good look at my life and where I was and where I wanted to go. I prayed and studied my scriptures with the distinct intention to find my own testimony. I had always heard stories of people having these intensely epic moments where they just know they have a testimony because of a big event in their lives. I kept waiting for my big event and that epic moment that followed where I get that feeling of just knowing I have a testimony. After a few years of waiting for my epic moment I figured it wasn't coming. I found myself questioning my faith. Then I had a lesson at church that changed everything. The teacher explained to the class the moment when she discovered her testimony. She didn't have the big event or the epic moment but rather she had a calm realization that she did have a testimony. It may not have been big but it was there. In that very moment I had that same calm realization. I knew then that I did have a testimony but I had to develop it and nurture it. So when asked why I am a Mormon I always look back to that moment. I am a Mormon because I received personal revelation that this is the true church. I threw myself into the arms of faith and our Heavenly Father didn't let me fall. He held me and embraced me until I realized my potential and slowly but surely came to the knowledge of the truth of this everlasting gospel. And that, my friends, is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church meetings, reading the scriptures, and making sure I frequently communicate with our father in heaven. I have been a leader in the young women program. I have done many service activities, and I try my best to be a kind, loving, accepting, and productive member of society.
