Hi I'm Isobel Sorenson

I love music and all things colorful. I'm a university student, I'm currently serving an LDS mission in Taiwan, And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

My family moved from California to Utah when I was young, and I am the oldest of four children. I'm currently on leave from university to serve a religious mission in the TAIWAN TAIBEI MISSION!! I love art, spray paint, volleyball, and little metal things. I'm enthusiastic about boardgames, music, and movies, am an avid Lord of the Rings fan, and play the bass guitar in band. Mostly I love to see the diversity of things members of the human race can create, whether it be in an established art form or an innovative thought.

Why I am a Mormon

In the simplest sense, I am Mormon because it was what I was born into. More truly, I am Mormon because I have considered this religion, considered what I truly believe, and realized that I knew with surety that I had a loving Heavenly Father, and a loving brother, Jesus Christ. I have felt the love of my Father too often to ever deny Him, and I know that He has shown me through the Holy Ghost that this is His church. I know that this church contains the fullness of His gospel, and all the ordinances that He gives us so that we may return to Him, and be with Him, and our family, and those we love for all time. I'm a missionary because I understand to some small degree the love Heavenly Father has for each of us, His children, through the love that I have for my own family. I would be heartbroken to not be able to be with any of them, and I know that God's capacity to love is infinitely greater than mine, and so His anguish at any of His children not returning to His presence is infinitely deeper.

How I live my faith

Right now, I primarily live my faith by serving a full time mission, and in doing so strive to devote my time in the service of my Lord, Jesus Christ. I am privileged to continually live my faith among the people of Taiwan, and also wear my faith on my nametag. I also love my family, and I love to love my family, as well as my friends, and I believe that the simple act of loving someone and serving them is a way to live my faith, because - in so many instances- that is how Christ expressed His divinity.
