Hi I'm Kara

I'm a high school math teacher. I love to travel. I love music. I love baking. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've never thought of myself as anyone special but I have always had a dream to change the world. This is why I teach high school. Each day I hope to make a little bit of a difference to at least one student. We live in a rough, and sometimes mean, world. I like to see the good around me and enjoy things that make me happy. I love to sing, play the guitar, and play the piano. I love baking and sharing my sweets. I love traveling and adventure. I recently went skydiving and hope to someday go again. I love the outdoors, hiking, camping, boating, etc. Life is to be enjoyed.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church of Jesus Christ restored to the earth today. I have had many times in my life when I have felt the spirit of the Lord testify to me that He is there and He knows me and loves me. I have read the Book of Mormon many times and I know that it is a true book of God written for our day to teach God's great plan of happiness. I have witnessed lives change, including mine, as they come into the church and find hope in a seemingly hopeless world. I know my Savior lives and I am forever grateful for the gift of His life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a Christ-like example in everything that I do and say. I am definitely not perfect in it but I do keep trying. I attend my church meetings every Sunday and enjoy fellow shipping with other members. I have the wonderful opportunity to teach the women in the church and love every minute of it. I seek every day to keep a relationship with my Heavenly Father by praying to Him and studying His scriptures. I also try to serve in whatever capacity I am able.
