Hi I'm Scott

I am from Syracuse, Utah. I enjoy singing and playing soccer. I love all things Disney. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I currently attend Utah State University in Logan, Utah, studying Statistics and Finance. I will be serving a mission for the next two years in the Poland Warsaw Mission. My hobbies include playing soccer, singing, playing piano, reading, and cooking. I speak a little bit of French and I will be learning to speak Polish for my mission. I have a relatively small family with just my mom, my dad, and my older brother. I love spending time with my friends and family! I also love to travel- I have been to Alaska, Hawaii, New York, Florida, and many other places in the United States as well as the Bahamas and Canada. I consider myself to be a very happy person and I love to have fun!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the covenant of the Church, meaning that both of my parents are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and raised me as a member. I was baptized and confirmed of member at the age of eight. As I grew through my teenage years, it became harder for me to live the gospel; I think I just kind of always took my religion for granted in my childhood. However, through wonderful influences of friends, great priesthood leaders in my ward, and a powerful connection with the Seminary program in high school, I have come to have a strong testimony of this gospel. I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. I have come to gain a witness of the Book of Mormon from the Holy Ghost by reading and pondering its teachings, and praying unto Heavenly Father to ask of its truthfulness. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God, that He did truly see Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ as a young 14-year old boy. I also testify that Thomas S. Monson is the true living prophet on the Earth today. I know that by the wonderful Plan of Salvation, I can one day return to live with my Father in Heaven by obeying His commandments in my mortal life now; in that day I can return to live with Him and my family for time and all eternity.

How I live my faith

In my student ward at college, I was called to serve as the ward financial clerk, meaning that I assisted our ward leaders in taking care of budgets, tithes and offerings, and finances in our ward. I also had hometeaching assignments within my ward, assigned to teach and assist the sisters in my ward that were in need of my help. I enjoy serving the people in my ward and helping them with anything they may need. I also love serving those in my community; I have organized many service projects in my community through the Boy Scouts of America, my local high school, and our local government. Service is a huge part of my life and I believe it to be so important to serve others.
