Hi I'm Dylan

I love playing sports and being outside. I play guitar and snowboard. I enjoy making new friends. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have been recently been called to serve a mission in Monterrey, Mexico. I love playing sports, mostly baseball and snowboarding. After my mission, i plan on going to college for four years in computer engineering. I love listening and playing music. I play a lot of the guitar, it's my stress reducer. I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I love to serve The Lord. I am the oldest of three brothers, all of them are sometimes a pain, but I love them and will always protect them.

Why I am a Mormon

Like a lot of people in this world, I have been born into the LDS Church. I have always believed in God, but didn't really think much of it. As I started to get to the age of a teen, I became troubled. I started to suffer from stress and depression. I would not listen to my parents and would not always want to go to church, thinking that it was just a waste of time. My mother soon came to me and asked me what I wanted most. I do not remember how I got this answer, I probably would have chosen a new Xbox or something, but I replied, with tears in my eyes, peace. Many years later, I have been noticing that I am a lot happier, and I listen to my parents, and having the want/need to go to church. I was reading the scriptures more and praying more. One day I had a thought to the introduction of the Book of Mormon. As I was reading, I came across a sentence and it pierced my heart so deeply I wept with tears. This sentence said, "... and tells men what they must do to gain peace in this life..." That was the day where I became truly converted to the Gospel and gained a huge testimony of The Book of Mormon. You see, even if you were born into the church, everyone can be converted to the Gospel, even more than once. I know that this is the true church. It has brought me such joy that I cannot describe. It has helped me be a better older brother and a better son. Everything, even every word, in The Book of Mormon is true. I know this Gospel helps people and our Father in Heaven loves us so very much and wants to help us to be truly happy. This is my testimony and I know all this to be true, for I have witnessed it first hand, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by reading the scriptures as much as I can and go to church every Sunday. I have been given many callings that have helped me become a better leader and a more caring person. I have learned how to put others before me and to help them. I try to do my best to pray to my Father in Heaven. I also live my faith by attending seminary as often as i can.
