Hi I'm Cole

I grew up in Wyoming. Sports are a huge part of my life. I enjoy the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Ever since I was little I had some sort of ball in my hand. Baseball and basketball have helped me to learn to prepare for my future life as a husband, father, and co-worker. The outdoors is somewhere that I can really feel peace in my life. To me, sacred nature of the outdoors is something that I really cherish. I attained the rank of Eagle Scout when I was the age of 15. Scouting has also had a very big influence on my life as well, from all the good times to the times where I had to keep myself in check with the Scout Law and Oath. Another thing that I really looked forward to the past four years of high school was seminary. I picked up scripture study and prayer habits that have changed my life for the better. I look forward to going to church every Sunday and renew my covenants with our Heavenly Father.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the everlasting guidance and protection that is given to all of us if we are worthy to receive it. In the Spring of 2012 I had my leg broken during a basketball game. At times it was really hard for me because I could not do thing with my friends or my family. And at times I felt really alone. But then I remembered the footprints in the sand story. Through our hardest and most difficult journeys or trials, Jesus Christ our savior and redeemer is the one who carries us. I am a Mormon because of the peace and comfort that i receive through studying the scriptures, going to church, and praying. I will keep choosing to live my life as a Latter Day Saint. I am a Mormon so that I may invite all to come unto Christ.

How I live my faith

Giving back to the LDS church and my community is something that I enjoy doing. Every so often for weekly activities, I get the opportunity to go with my age group and give service to people who need it the most. Seeing the reaction of the people who receive the service is priceless. But the feeling I get inside is pretty great as well. Fellow shipping others into the church is something that means a lot to me. I have tried a lot harder this past school year to try and reach out those who are less active, inactive, or non-members. I have seen that just being a friend to them is probably the most important thing that I can do. Another example of how I live my faith is trying to be a better example for both young and old people. This is something that is really a simple thing to do but it can effect someone else's life in a huge way.
