Hi I'm Tom-Atle Herland

I’m a Mormon, born and raised in Oslo, Norway. My profession is from Management Consulting, Telecom, IT and Executive Training.

About Me

I’m a father of 5 children and a grandfather of three grandchildren. I have worked more than 25 years in the Management Consulting, Telecom, IT and Executive Training Industry. I have a great passion for innovation and growing businesses. My hobbies are cooking, fishing, working out and travelling.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe in Jesus Christ as the Saviour and the Son of God. I also believe that this life is not a coincidence. This life is part of a much larger plan and our Heavenly Father is the Master of that plan. His plan is to make the best version out of all of us. The Plan of Salvation is to me very logical, an intellectual masterpiece from an Almighty Father in Heaven. It is His act of love to all human beings. To me there would be strange that we are born and then die, without any greater meaning in the long run. This life is very important in itself, but every person will once or several times get a feeling of something more.

How I live my faith

My parents converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I was 6 years old. I later decided to go on a mission. I served my mission in Norway from 1983 till 1985. I have had all kind of positions in the Church and admire the way the Church influence people to become a better version of themselves. To me the Church is the Church of Jesus Christ. I believe in him as the Saviour and the Son of God. I try to follow his way of living.
