Hi I'm Rob

Hi! I grew up in Europe, Maryland, Utah and live in Alaska. I Flew fighters in the US Marines. I have an MBA. I fly commercially.

About Me

I love to fish and hunt as well as support constitution loving politicians. Alaska is my home and has been for nearly 20 years. I am a commercial pilot, retired military officer, and most importantly a family man. I am involved at the district level with the Boy Scouts of America. With two children under the roof, I love what the LDS Church and Christ do for them.

Why I am a Mormon

The regular blessings that come from following the Lord's plan in His restored format is unquestionably the reason I continue to be an active member go the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My wife and I have a close relationship with our Maker which brings us much closer as a couple. We know who we are in relation to Deity and therefore to each other. We know that we will be together forever with proper behavior and covenants, therefore we treat each other commensurately. We know our children will be with us in association forever, therefore we threat them commensurately. We know the Lord's plan is that families can be together forever and that this venue provides the highest form of happiness possible in God's family and Kingdom. By restoring the gospel, the Lord returned many important but missing truths and powers back to the earth enabling the human family to partake of them. The missionaries can help to explain how this is possible. Salvation is something that is central to Christianity and Christ's mission, yet not well understood. This is the reason why there are so many churches or faiths in the world today. My understanding of just what salvation is and how one qualifies has made all the difference in why I am a Mormon Christian and why I believe you should be one too.

How I live my faith

Worshipping Christ together as a family has united us and kept us together through many trials and blessed us tremendously over the years. I am our congregation's mission leader and love the calling. We "Latter Day Saints" love to volunteer. In fact that is the way things are done and get done in the Lord's Church. No paid clergy or services. We all grow through the experience of different callings to serve. The Creator of the Universe knew that human nature was at its finest when used productively in helping to build His Kingdom on a regular basis. As part of my calling, I organize social events every few months with my "team" of missionary volunteers in an effort to promote good quality gatherings that are Christian in nature allowing for His Spirit to be felt and at the same time, have fun and a good time with our families and each other. We do this so that the community at large will also feel welcome to join in the fun with us as our guests and decide to investigate our message of Christian happiness and a wholesome lifestyle. I associate with our full-time missionaries on a weekly basis in an effort to encourage them and help them in finding and teaching those who are interested in what the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ can offer them in increased understanding of the purpose of life, happiness, and joy in family life and closeness to their personal Savior and Redeemer. These missionaries are not to be feared, but welcomed into all of our homes. Their message is one of truth and comfort. These missionaries are young men and women of the highest moral and intellectual caliber. They have volunteered to sacrifice two years in the prime of life to leave home and personal comforts to serve the lord through serving humanity. Christian service creates a Christian heart, and hearing them speak from the heart in our homes when we invite them in, allows us to feel the Spirit of God and know that they are His true messengers.
