Hi I'm Tonalli Rojas

I was born in Mexico City. I live in Oregon. I love to play soccer. I'm currently a missionary. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I Joined the church in March 2010 with my family. Growing up I was a member of the Catholic Church, but I never really had a strong belief in God. I always felt like something was missing in my life. I was never truly happy until I discoverd the church thanks to the missionaries! Joining the church was the greatest thing that could have ever happened to me in my youth. Being the first to accept the gospel in my family was a great blessing. I put an example to my parents and siblings. I being the oldest of 3 kids have always had to guide my sisters. The teachings of the church helped me be that example. By helping me to stay strong throughout my high school career as well as be constantly helping me to make the correct decisions throughout my life. I have had to make many sacrifices since I joined the church to be who I am today. I am currently serving as a missionary in the Utah Ogden Mission and everyday I have to make a sacrifice. I do it because I love my savior Jesus Christ. Since I joined the church my theme in life has always been "How does this affect my worthiness to serve?" Every time I make a decision I do it with that question in mind. It has helped me stay in the correct path and has helped me be the powerful missionary God needs me to be. After my mission I plan on going to college and studying sport management. I love sports, but I specially have a deep passion for soccer. If I can't continue to play professionally, I want to be involved in it another way(:

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have received and felt the love of God in my family. It went from the verge of divorcement to being sealed for time and all eternity in the temple. I have seen the positive changes this religion has had on my everyday life, decisions, and influences. It has changed what is of most importance to me; my family. It has changed who I am for the better. It has shown me that we have a father in heaven that cares for all of us. And above all the church has helped me grow closer to my heavenly father and Jesus Christ by helping me recognize that he truly loves and cares for me through the atonement of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Like I explained before, I make ever decision with one question in mind "How does this affect my worthiness to serve?" I may not be perfect, but I know that if I do all that I can to follow my savior Jesus Christ and do all that I can to stay worthy. Then I will be worth to have the company of the Holy Ghost as strong as possible in my life. I help out the bishop with the young men in teenage years and I always try to be the best representative of Jesus Christ everywhere I go. I don't only live my faith, but I also share my faith by serving my 2 year mission in the Utah Ogden mission. I will serve from September 2015 to August 2017.
