Hi I'm Davis

I grew up in Utah, I served a mission in Richmond VA, and I am a pilot

About Me

I am a college graduate with a bachelors degree in Aviation Science. I am married with a wonderful wife and beautiful daughter, and hope to add more kids to my family in the future. I love to play sports and be active, and I love to golf. I have lived in Utah my whole life except for 2 years when I lived in Virginia serving my Savior Jesus Christ. I recently moved to Arizona for work and to further my career as a professional pilot and hope to working in the airlines in about a year from now.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon simply because I have been given a personal witness from the Holy Ghost that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true church on the earth today. I was born a mormon and grew up as a mormon, but it wasn't until I was 19 years old that I decided for myself to figure out if I actually believed the things I had been taught my whole life. Up to that point I believed because my parents told me it was true, and because all of my friends said that they believed it was true. I knew that the church was good and that I felt good when I went to church and participated in the scouting program and the young mens program, but I did not have a personal conviction that it was the only true church. At 19 years old I decided to serve a mission where for 2 years I would leave my family, friends, girls, and school behind and dedicate my life to teach people about the church. I had always said as a child that I would serve a mission and when the time came I stood by my word, but I did not have my own personal testimony. 2 months prior to the day that I was supposed to report to the Missionary Training Center, I started having serious doubts about my abilities, beliefs, and desires to serve a mission. After many days of thoughtful prayer and study of the Book of Mormon and Bible I received my own personal witness that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is the only true church on the earth today. I learned this truth through study of the scriptures, prayer, and attending church regularly. Everyone is entitled to personal revelation and I know that if you are seeking an answer that if you ask Heavenly Father with faith believing that he will answer you, that you will receive your own personal witness of the truthfulness of his church on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being a good example of a Christ-Like person to all people I meet. I try to live in such a way that others will benefit from coming in to contact with me. I am the type of person that is always willing to lend a hand to someone that needs help, whether that is moving in or out of their home or watching someone else's so that they can go out and have a date night. I also participate in my ward by teaching young children about Jesus and the doctrines of the gospel. I love to teach the kids they are so much fun and I always learn something from them every week. I have also been able to teach the youth in other wards when I lived in Utah. We get many opportunities to teach and serve neighbors and friends. Serving others is something that brings me great happiness and it also brings happiness to those on the receiving end, which is something that I love to see. When I was 19 years old I put my education on hold and served a 2 year LDS (mormon) mission in VA where I was able to meet and teach and serve many people there. I came to love the people of VA and I think of them often. This experience taught me many things about life and it also helped me to come closer to my Father in Heaven and develop a deep and meaningful personal relationship with him. I know that he lives and loves us all and that he sent is son Jesus Christ to earth to show us the way to eternal life. I know that Jesus Christ lived and died for me so that I could become clean and live again with my family in the presence of God. I try to live my life in such a way that Jesus would be proud. I am constantly learning, growing, and striving to become a better version of my self each and every day.
