Hi I'm Trent

I am serving a mission in Las Vegas, Nevada, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Throughout high school I was a three sport athlete, competing in football, basketball, and track. I participated in school leadership (ASB) and was the Student Body President my senior year. Currently I'm teaching myself to play guitar and growing my love for music. I enjoyed going to youth group activities with my friends. I am serving a Spanish speaking mission in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ is the best thing I've found in my life. There is no other thing that brings this much joy continuously. Lots of things can bring temporal joy, but this is the only thing that provides a long term joy. I've been given and blessed so much in my life which is why I'm serving a mission. I've received so much joy, and I want to give someone else that same opportunity. I have knelt down and prayed and asked God if this is His true church, and I testify to you that I have received a personal witness that this is His true gospel. I know it is true, and there is no way I can deny it. It is true, and nothing can change that.

How I live my faith

I attend my church meetings on a weekly basis, and then attend my youth group each Wednesday. Often I am in charge of planning these events and setting them up for others. Each month I go and check up on various members of our church with another person and see how they are doing, and then we share a message to bring the spirit into their home. The biggest way I live my faith though is in my daily life. I wake up and pray first thing. Then I read my scriptures to invite the spirit into my life. Every weekday before school I go to our church in the morning and attend a class much like a bible study. Then life really begins once I arrive at school. This is when I get to practice what I say I believe. I try to be nice and help other people. I maintain my standards and don't allow myself to do things I know I shouldn't.
