Hi I'm Brandon

I grew up in Washington and Japan, am studying computer science at BYU, and am serving a mission in Russia. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I've lived most of my life in the Pacific Northwest, not far from Seattle. I love playing soccer, snowboarding, swimming, and exercise. I am studying computer science at BYU, and although I am not exactly sure where this major will take me career-wise, I know it's the right one for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I made a decision to have faith and ask God if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was the true church, and whether or not being part of that church was the direction I should take my life. Although I grew up a member of this church, I was not always certain that this was the path that I should take. However, after reading the Book of Mormon and praying to know if it was true, I know that this is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and the true path to happiness. It is a knowledge that I can't simply set aside, and so I always strive to live the gospel.

How I live my faith

I attend church every week, and I even attend a church-sponsored school (BYU). I was previously responsible for all the college-aged men on my dorm floor, for teaching lessons in church as well as looking out for their well-being. More importantly than simply attending church meetings is living the faith I believe in, in my daily life. I strive constantly to live the example of Jesus Christ by being kind, compassionate, and willing to serve others wherever I can.
