Hi I'm Tilese

I grew up in the Western US. I love theater. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently graduated high school, and took a break from school. I will be starting college in a few months, and am very excited to study my passion--live theater. I will also be taking dance classes, and learning Spanish. I love getting lost in the magical world of book-land (otherwise known as reading books) and I also enjoy writing my own stories. I love being active, riding bikes, playing volleyball, or just walking, but the most athletic I've ever been is when I was on my school's color guard, and I loved it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church, but I never really felt any pull toward this gospel until I was in my late teens. My friends started asking me questions about my faith, and the more I talked about what I had been told was true, the more I wanted to know for myself. Eventually, I committed to reading the entire Book of Mormon by myself, and praying about it after I finished. After I prayed and asked Heavenly Father if it was true, I could not believe how wonderful I felt. It was as if I was being wrapped in the most tender of loving hugs, and I felt at peace. I remember feeling, rather than hearing, these words, "You always knew it was true," and from then on I have striven to be worthy enough to feel that warmth.

How I live my faith

I am in a young single adult ward, and I help plan the activities that we do. This involves things such as hikes, potluck dinners, sports competitions, and dances. I enjoy inviting my friends to these activities, because I love sharing what I believe. I also enjoy visiting with the other girls in my ward, and I try to be as available as possible in case they ever need help with anything.
