Hi I'm Dayton

I grew up in Alabama, have a passion for music, I play the guitar and love to read. I am a missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a variety of hobbies; namely playing guitar, solving math problems, working out and the like. I have spent many summers at scout camps and spent two years saving money for my mission while working at a chicken plant. I have been at the MTC for 23 days and in 2 weeks i report to the field in the Querétaro Mexico mission. In the months leading up to it, I have noticed all past prejudices have faded and am forever grateful for this new light in my life and I can now testify of the strength that the spirit brings.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in this church, I was taught the doctrines, and I have come to a decent knowledge and understanding of our Lord, Jesus Christ. I love this church because I have felt the peace after having obtained forgiveness for my sins and I have experienced the beautiful warmth of the Holy Ghost while having a difficult time. I know that this church is true. I know that Christ showed Himself to Joseph Smith and gave him the direction he needed to restore the Gospel of Christ to the Earth once more. I know that the atonement is real and were it not for it, we would all be living without hope to see our Heavenly Father again. Our desire to do so causes us to follow the right path and to know for ourselves the truthfulness of the gospel.

How I live my faith

I show support for the basketball games hosted by the church. As many non-members come to play, I am able to take the opportunity to share with them some of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have served as a Young Single Adult representative and as a Ward Missionary. The responsibilities of these callings are different, but they also have similarities as they revolve around the benefit of others.
