Hi I'm Katie

I grew up in Utah. I love playing sports and crazy adventures. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in Utah and I am the youngest of 4 brothers and 2 sisters. I have 11 nieces and nephews and more coming. I love playing all sports but basketball is my favorite. I am studying accounting and hope to own my own business someday. I am going on a mission and I am so excited to love the people of Argentina and to share with them what is so important in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am very grateful to have been raised in the church. I gained my testimony of the church throughout my teenage years and still am increasing my faith. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the restored church of Christ. By being Mormon I increase my relationship with God and find more happiness in my life than anything I can find in the world. I am Mormon because being Mormon brings me the most happiness!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being happy. I show to people how the Gospel can bring a light into people's lives. Things will happen in life that will be hard and want to tear you down, but with faith in Christ you can make it through all things. You don't have to fake your happiness, but feel genuine happy knowing there is a plan for your life even after death, and that there is a God that loves you personally.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

It is not a requirement for Mormons to serve missions. As a Mormon who is about to leave on a mission, I find it a privilege to teach people that there is a God that loves them and that there is a plan for them. Mission service is voluntary, and missionaries are not paid for their service. They receive a call to serve somewhere in the world. Show more Show less
