Hi I'm Andreas

I'm Norwegian. I love music! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always had a passion for music. I grew up with five older siblings and ever since I was very young I saw and listened to them playing the piano and singing. I quickly developed a passion for that too. When I was about twelve years old, I bought my first bass guitar and ever since, playing the bass has been my favourite thing to do. I believe strongly that music has great power and can influence people and the world for good. I hope and dream to one day make music my living and spread the joy that I get from it. At the moment I am serving as a full-time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the England London area. I love it! Even though I have put a lot of things aside to do this, it is the most rewarding thing I could imagine doing right now.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I've been to church all my life, I came to a point where I could no longer just live on my family's and friends' knowledge and faith. I needed my own as well. I started studying the scriptures more diligently, and prayed. My testimony of this church didn't come all at once, but rather, my faith has grown steadily as I have seen God's hands in my life. I'm a logical thinker. I like down-to-earth people who think simple. And the gospel is just that! This church's teachings are simple and logical. It makes sense to me, and more importantly, it blesses me in my life. The knowledge that I have, help me see life in a different way, and know my purpose here one the earth. While it all makes sense, I also think it is even more important to get manifestations by the Spirit to confirm truths, and answer questions. In a world of insecurity and falling moral standards, I am very happy to have steady guidelines given by a loving Heavenly Father who only wants the best for me.

How I live my faith

As a missionary I get to share my faith all the time. Because my faith in God means so much to me, it is very rewarding. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and I don't know where I would be without it. As a missionary you see people change their lives for the better. You see people come unto Christ. You see them receive strength to overcome their challenges and concerns. You see them become happy! I love to be in this position. Living my faith as a Mormon gives more joy than anything else. I get to see other people become happier, and that makes me happier. It's that simple! Being a Mormon is not just a Sunday thing. It is a community where people live the highest of standards, looks out for each other and try to help and be an example to others. Full-time missionary or not, this is something I will strive to do the rest of my life.
