Hi I'm Scott

I grew up in Idaho. I'm a college student. I love sports. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm in college, studying secondary education; I want to teach high school math and Spanish, two of my favorite things. I served an LDS mission in Chile, which is where I learned Spanish. I love sports, especially basketball and football, and a little soccer that I picked up in Chile. I love to read books, mostly fiction fantasy (Harry Potter!) and anything outdoors: camping, hunting, fishing, swimming etc. I enjoy music; I play the piano and trumpet and love to sing. And anything else fun!

Why I am a Mormon

My whole family is Mormon, going back for generations. So I grew up in the church, and learned at a young age the teachings of Jesus Christ. There came a time, however, when I had to learn for myself whether or not it was true. So I did what we encourage others learning of our church to do: I prayed. I asked God if this church is true. I asked if the Book of Mormon is true. I asked many other questions. And He answered. He told me, through the Spirit, that yes, this is His true church, that everything I have learned (and everything I later taught on my mission) is true. And I have been constantly strengthening this testimony.

How I live my faith

I believe that a huge way to live my faith is through example. Just by being a good example to others as I live my beliefs, so that they can see those beliefs in the life I live. I have served in many callings in my church, one of my favorites being a Sunday School teacher. When I was a young man, and now as a young single adult, I have served others in many different capacities. I enjoy helping and serving others.
