Hi I'm Teanna (Aliece) Angell

I love reading, writing, and will take any chance I can to learn. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Life has not been easy for me. I have anxiety issues, depression and I am anorexic. I never intended to become anorexic, but the world told me I wasn't beautiful, and I avoided it for a long time, but eventually it caught up with me and I started to hate how I looked. I was fourteen at the time, and two years later I would do anything to go back and tell myself she was beautiful just the way she was. When I was first diagnosed I did not want to admit that something was wrong with me, but eventually I had no choice, the evidence was all right there. I started seeing multiple councilors, a nurse practitioner, and a dietitian regularly. They helped me overcome the disorder to an extent, but it wasn't only them. The Lord also helped me. Everyone in my family prayed daily for me to get better and I knew the Lord could help me overcome myself. I prayed, (skipped fasting), payed my tithing, attended seminary and church, and basically did everything I thought the Lord would want me to do. For the past 3/4 of a year I have been able to maintain my weight and have started to enjoy life once again. Now I am dutiful in my calling as my branches chorister and young women's class president, a senior in high school and on the honour role, a girl who has had her heart broken by a boy she loved, and a girl who knows that if she turns to the Lord when faced with trials, He will calm the tempests raging in her life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Moron because the Lord has helped me a lot in my life and continues to help me. I was raised in the gospel, and have developed a testimony of the truth of it. I have seen many miracles in my 16 years, and I have even had the opportunity to talk with an apostle, who I can testify was called of God. I know this church is true and I love it with all my heart, even when I have slipped, it has been there for me. I am a mormon because I know there is no other church on this earth that can provide all the answers. I love the Lord and His gospel, and I know I need Him constantly; I am never without God.

How I live my faith

Every morning I wake up early and do online seminary; it is a great way to start the day, and invites the spirit in. I go throughout my day helping everyone that I see who needs it, whether it be a little thing such as holding a door or tutoring someone. I attend church meetings every Sunday and try to read my scriptures and pray daily. Most importantly I try to be a good person to everyone I meet no matter how they treat me.
