Hi I'm Chuck

I was raised in a family of four children in Utah USA. I am a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

About Me

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I live in Pleasant View, Utah, on a mountain with a beautiful view of the valley and the Great Salt Lake. I enjoy camping, fishing, archery, ATVing and boating. I have three adult children who all enjoyed camping vacations. I am fortunate that all my children live nearby. I also have a little Jack Russell terrier who follows me everywhere. My wife and I are retired, but we have many interests that keep us busy including gardening and spending time with our grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I was fortunate to grow up with parents who taught me the gospel. I believe that we knew Christ and family members in Heaven before we came to earth. I believe that each of us has a divine nature and purpose. As an adult, I gained my own testimony of God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. I know that Joseph Smith is the prophet who was sent to restore Jesus' church, as it was in His day, with priesthood authority and 12 apostles. The church provides me with a feeling of peace as I strive to live a morally clean life, filled with service and dedicated to Christ. I believe that families are of God, and that we will live together in Heaven for eternity if we live worthy of that promise.

How I live my faith

I have served in Scouting for 30 years, in a number of capacities. I have two sons who earned their Eagle in Scouting. I presently serve in a calling that gives me opportunities to assist the elderly and widows in my ward, to teach gospel lessons on Sunday, and to deliver the sacrament to those unable to attend Sunday meetings. Family is important to me, and so I faithfully keep my marriage covenants, and strive to be the best dad and grandpa I can be.
