Hi I'm Dylan

I've been a Mormon all my life, and I love to play volleyball and beach volleyball.

About Me

I'm a San Diego Mormon who has been a member of the church my entire life. I am an eagle scout and I love sports and going to the beach. My favorite sport is volleyball and I have been playing it for several years. I enjoy hanging out with friends and taking part in scouting activities. Some of my favorite scouting activities that I have taken part in are a trip to southern Utah and backpacking in Yosemite. I also love listening to music. My favorite type of music is alternative but I also enjoy almost every other type of music as well. I will be attending Brigham Young University after serving a full time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I will be studying Computer Science and after receiving my Bachelor's degree in that field I will be switching majors to Business Strategies.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was born into the church, but I remain a Mormon because of my testimony of the gospel. I have had many spiritual experiences and through scripture study and prayer, I have come to know for myself that the church is true and that is why I live the gospel and invite other to do so as well.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through service to others. In my opinion, service is the best part of the gospel. The joy that comes from serving others is amazing and those you serve are benefited as well. Service encompasses many different things from missionary work to pulling weeds. As I serve others, my faith grows and I feel like I am making a difference.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Our Heavenly Father himself said,"...my works are without end, and also my words, for they never cease." Our beloved Father in Heaven will never leave us alone to be guided on our own. As in days of old, he has called a Prophet who guides us, instructs us, and warns us of the dangers in the world. This is the same organization that existed in the Church of Jesus Christ when he established it on the earth. A prophet is not worshiped or seen as diety. But rather acts as a beacon that guides us to the one and true source for salvation. As we learn in the Bible, the only way to verify if a prophet is true is by trying their "fruits." We invite you to listen and to read the words of the modern day prophet and other prophets of this dispensation and to thoughtfully ponder and pray about their divine instruction. In doing so, you will gain a testimony that they have been called of God. I know this to be true because I have lived it. Show more Show less
