Hi I'm Sam Harr

I like Lego Mindstorms, Traxxas Cars, and 4 wheelers. I like to ride my bike or 4 wheeler by the river with my dog. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am lucky to live not far from a small river. On quiet afternoons I love to jump on my bike or 4 wheeler and head to the river with my dog and friends. It is so fun to splash in the water and play in the sun with the water cooling us off. I like to build things and figure out how they work. Lego Mindstorm robots are fun to build and program. Traxxis cars are fun to drive, although they seem to break, part of the fun is fixing them again. Right now I have been rebuilding an engine in one of our 4 wheelers. It is cool to turn on YouTube and find videos to teach me how to take apart the engine so I can put it back together again repaired.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. I know I am lucky to have a family that reads the scriptures nearly everyday. We have family prayer several times each day. I know that Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers. I know that we are His children and He loves us! I have read the Book of Mormon several times and I know it is true. On Wednesday mornings I love to go to the temple with my Dad, sister and friends. There we participate in baptisms for those who have died. Like Jesus was baptized here on earth, every person needs to have that opportunity. By being baptized proxy for those who didn't have the opportunity to hear the Gospel I know they are being given a chance to accept the truth. I know that God has not forgotten us here on earth. We are His children, and He cares about us. He wants us to succeed and be happy. I know that His power has been restored to this earth. I know that Jesus Christ will come again.

How I live my faith

When I serve others it makes me feel good. My parents say I have a talent in seeing how to help others. Sometimes it is something simple like helping them load tree branches recently cut onto a trailer. Sometimes they need help with equipment that I know I am lucky to have access too. This last winter we had 6" of snow fall in our town. We don't usually get any snow, and most of my neighbors don't even have a snow shovel! Everything was cancelled, church, school, work! I have a blade that fits our four wheeler. I spent the better part of two days plowing driveways for all of our neighbors! One neighbor came out when she heard me doing her walks and said "Where in the blue blazes did you get that?" I loved serving and surprising so many people by helping them.
