Hi I'm Joe

I'm a musician, I love playing and listening to music. Family is the most important thing to me. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from Spring, Texas (just outside of Houston). I have moved around the world since I was 10, and I am going on a mission to Virginia, Chesapeake. I love all aspects of music, whether it is composing, listening or talking about music. The gospel is a huge part of my life, I dont know where I would be without it! I have a deep love for my family, and a strong desire to start my own in the future. I enjoy the outdoors, and playing Lacrosse. I also love to collect retro video games, and play them when I have spare time. I am currently serving as a full time missionary in the Virginia Chesapeake mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church, but it was not until I was 16 or 17 that I decided to gain a testimony. It all started with an experience at EFY (Especially For Youth), which is like a church camp for a week. A speaker talked about how happy he was to be sealed to his wife for all time and eternity, and how it brought him joy that he could be with his family forever. I decided then and there to become worthy enough, and gain my own testimony so I could one day be with my wife and kids forever. Since then, I have studied the Book of Mormon daily, and prayed to really know if this Church is true. God answers prayers. I know that to be true. He loves us, and wants us to be happy. He answered my prayers by giving me knowledge of eternal truths line upon line, precept upon precept. I love this Church, it is the only Church that has the authority of the Priesthood. Through the restoration of the Gospel, we can have joy and happiness with our families, and can come closer to Christ. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen

How I live my faith

I heavily rely on prayer and scripture study to keep me thinking of my Savior and remember to be a better person everyday. By reading the Book of Mormon, I am able to come close to my Savior and learn about the Atonement. I also love to read/listen to the words of modern day prophets, because they receive revelation for our time, and provide guidance on current problems. My family is a wonderful tool that helps me live my faith, I talk to them about the Gospel and we discuss different view points and insights on our study. I always try to be surrounded by uplifting things, and avoid activities or influences that drive the spirit away. By daily study, and prayer to my Heavenly Father I am able to know truths and seek guidance for my life.
