Hi I'm Lynsie

I'm from North Salt Lake, Utah. I speak Swedish. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm from Utah and lived here all my life, except for my year and a half stint in Sweden as a missionary. I love living in a great area with wonderful people and beautiful surroundings. I live life to the fullest and take every opportunity that is given to me. I seek adventure and always want to continue to learn and grow in my life. I go to Brigham Young University and I think I want to study to be an elementary school teacher. I find so much joy in being outside and I love being surrounded by nature. I'm the youngest in my family with 3 older brothers (you could say I get spoiled a little).

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon includes more than just being baptized and going to church then calling it good. Being a Mormon means you truly believe and have testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. My whole life I was content with following the motions because it felt good and made me happy, but when it came down to it, I didn't understand WHY I do those things. Now I know that it's because I believe in a Savior who loves me, who suffered and died for me, and I want to do anything and everything I can to be like Him. I believe He restored His gospel through the prophet Joseph Smith and we have the 'Mormon Church' today through the power that has roots in that gospel. I'm a Mormon because I love Jesus Christ and I want to do all that I can to follow Him.

How I live my faith

I am a faithful member of the church and I love participating and showing my faith in everything that I do. I have found that visiting teaching is such an important part of the church and it fosters so many relationships, allowing them to grow and flourish. I have been a visiting teaching supervisor and that position really helped me realize how important visiting teaching is. Everyone is important and should feel like they have people around them that love them. I think that is the purpose of visiting teaching. Women can feel loved and have wonderful friendships that are brought about through the visiting teaching program. That is one important way that I live my faith. Christ teaches us to love one another and serve. I think service is one of the biggest things that we can do to show our faith and to be closer to our Father in Heaven. Each of us struggle in one way or another and we all need help from time to time. The Lord knows us and our trials and He won't leave us alone when we are in need. Each of us can be a tool in the Lord's hands by serving each other and helping others when they are in need. One of my favorite feelings in the world is when someone has told me that I was an answer to their prayers and helped them when they truly needed someone. I love serving others and I think that is a great way to live my faith.

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

Lynsie
The Holy Ghost is a gift from our loving Heavenly father that helps us live our lives in a way that is pleasing to Him. The Holy Ghost guides us and tells us what to do. It gives us feelings of peace and comfort or warnings when we seek guidance. We can have the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost so that we are never alone on this earth. Show more Show less
