Hi I'm Anastasia Haner

I'm an aspiering Midwife. I come from a loving family of 11! The Lord is the light of my life. I'm a happy member of His Church.

About Me

Right now I am studying to become a Midwife. I'm doing my clinicals at a birth enter in Brigham city. I think it's great to be working in a feild where we are giving women the oppertunity to have safe, woman centered and respectful care. It's very rewarding to be part of the scean when a mother and father welcome a sweet new baby into their family. Background: I come from a great big family who I love with all my heart. I have been blessed with a hard working father and a very creative mother so I've learned lots of good things growing up. The teachings of the Lord Jesus Cristvwere at the center of everything my parents taught us children. I learned lots of fun practical things too: sewing, gardening, baking- I even baked/decorated several wedding cakes- and a little bit of roofing with my dad! I was homeschooled, so my yonger years of education included a lot of unique, hands-on learning experiences in a lovingly enviroment. It was great! I was also involved in comunity/co-op groups, so I still got to enjoy a health social life ;). My siblings and I were part of a good drama class (where we performed Shakespeare plays), a strong ballroom dance class, and a Teen Eagle organization who we interned with up at the State Capitol. I am so gratful to my parents and my God my upbringing.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my whole life, and it has brought me an incredible amount of happiness. I have peace knowing that God knows me. I'm His child. He has a plan and beautiful purpose for my life. Because of the things I've learned, I know that my family can be a family for ever - even after death we can be united. Knowing this truth has brought me much comfort and joy. I know that Heavenly Father wants everyone to enjoy the blessings of living with Him in heaven and being with their families. He made a plan for us to follow in order for us to have those blessings. Jesus Christ and His sacrifice make it possible for me to return to live with Him again. I love Him so much. And I am so thankful. I am a member of the Church because I want to following His plan. I know that being baptized into His church is part of that plan. As I attend church, read the book of mormon, and Pray, by the power of the Holy Ghost I know it is the right thing to do and that this is Jesus Christ's restored Church. Everyone can come to know these same truths, the same way I do, by learning about this Gospel and then praying to ask God if it is true.

How I live my faith

My parents have taught me that following Jesus Christ includes keeping His commandments and serving others. I know that is true. Serving others in large or small ways has been a big blessing to my life. "When you are helping you are happy" I've learned by experience that the words to this children's song are true. I had the opportunity of participating in a church youth program where we did projects and crafts with individuals who have special needs. It was a great experience and we all really enjoyed working with our new friends. Along with keeping the commandments, Doing what Jesus Christ would do if he were here is one of my greatest goals. It is a very fulfilling endeavor. Including my family in service projects is so much fun too. We baked bread to take to the neighbors, raked leaves and gardened for people who have a hard time, sewn dolls to send to Haiti, and our house is always open to the lonely who need a place to feel loved. Our family makes an effort to stay involved with current political issues. We try to do our part to help preserve freedom, family and faith. Sometimes it isn't easy to always do the right thing. But as I think about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, I have a deep desire to be more like them. I try my hardest to be kind to others, look for ways to serve, be honest, dress modestly, keep my language clean, and pray often. From May 2013-Nov 2014 I was able to go to Canada as a full time missionary. I got to serve the Lord and share the message of Salvation and Exaltation through Jesus Christ. In addition to teaching people about The Gospel, we got to visit/sing for the sick and elderly at care homes, serve local shelters and food banks, provide aid in disaster zones and look for every oppertunity to be the Lord's hands. It was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. I hope to live the rest of my life in a similar way.
