Hi I'm Kenzie

I'm a soon to be missionary. I'm a daughter of a Heavenly King. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in St. George, Utah. I am the youngest of four children. I have two older brothers and an older sister. My sister and I are absolute best friend and she is my greatest example! My family loves to be on the lake. Our favorite hobby as a family, which quickly became my favorite, is boating. We really just love anything that involves summer and water! Our favorite vacation is the 10 or more days we spend at Lake Powell in June and August every year. Next to boating, I LOVE gymnastics. I was a gymnast from the time a was a toddler up until I quit during my senior year of high school. Gymnastics has taught me many things including: discipline, respect, accountability, and how to cope during trails. With the joy of gymnastics, like other things, comes disappointment and trials. I learned from a young age how to truly work hard and see good, or bad, come from my work. I have just recently finished up my first year as a college student at Utah Valley University and loved it! I had wonderful roommates who knew how to have fun while keeping good standards and for that i am truly grateful to my Heavenly Father.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a Latter-Day Saint and am eternally grateful for it! When I younger I mostly relied on the testimony of those around me, never questioning any of it myself. I wouldn't seek out the Spirit unless I was at church and even then I didn't really. It was normal and comfortable and I was okay with it. Until I had to make big life decisions on my own. I knew that my parents or siblings couldn't make those decisions for me, (even though I would have wanted them to just tell me what to do). And as I realized this, I decided that I needed Divine guidance. However, I knew that I wasn't doing my part to receive an answer, or even notice the answer if it did come. I knew that I had to change some things. As I did so, I found myself wanting to feel the Spirit more often. And I found answers and I rejoiced in those answers. I am an active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because it brings peace and joy into my life. Some may say that there are just too many rules and too much you have to do to be a Mormon. I'm a witness that says, yes. It's a lot to do. But i'm also here to say that it is worth it. All of the hardships in my life, can be overcome through the Lord Jesus Christ. He can take those pains, temptations, sickness, etc., away because He has already felt, and OVERCOME them. He knows each one of us individually. He knows me and He listens to me. He loves me and I feel it when I live by the laws that the Lord set in motion a long time ago. I am a Mormon because I know that my Redeemer lives.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by working each and everyday to come closer to my Heavenly Father and my Savior. How I do this is by putting The Lord and Savior as my number one priority. I have learned (by watching examples and testing it on my own) that if you put the Lord first, He will put you first. And each morning when I wake up, i pray that the Spirit might be with me. I do everything in my power to invite the 3rd member of the Godhead to be my companion to guide me through this mess we call life. I strive to share my beliefs anytime I can. And one way that I am going to do that is through serving a full-time mission. The next 18 months are going to be the best months for me and my future family. I will be serving the wonderful people of Virginia and I cannot wait to get out there. I can't wait to share with them the joyful message of Jesus Christ. I'm excited to teach the people in Virginia about this gospel that has brought so much peace into my life.
