Hi I'm Madison Mitchell

I love to dance and sing and laugh with the people laughing at me. Running around barefoot is my thing. I'm a Mormon! Whoohoo!

About Me

I LOVE THE TEACHINGS OF CHRIST more than... Anything! I come from a family of ten kids (I'm in the middle with my twin [I'm older by 4 minutes]). I'm serving in the Oakland/ San Francisco, California Mission. My companion the other day said "People who come from big families- nothing phases them". Tis true. Our lives are made up of choices, so I do my best to choose to be happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that living the teachings taught in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will make my family and friends the happiest they could ever be. It can save them from the grief of bad decisions and give them peace and strength with the inevitable challenges of life. I know it will work for them, so it makes sense that it will work for me. I must be an example to them, because I want them to be the happiest they can be. Also I have felt Heavenly Father's love and guidance for me from the Book of Mormon. Satan comes from so many different places and angles, but I cannot deny the divine experiences I've had from reading in the Book of Mormon, praying, and attending church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being enthusiastic about it. I believe that I'm a daughter of God who loves me- just with that I have the confidence to do anything.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Madison Mitchell
Haha no. God says in the scriptures to put nothing before me (give or take a couple thees or thous). I am thankful for Joseph Smith and his righteous desires and actions, because he was humble enough to be a tool in Heavenly Father's hands millions have been blessed. I'd compare it to my Mom, because of her righteous example and loving guidance me and my siblings have been blessed eternally. Show more Show less

What is the Law of Chastity?

Madison Mitchell
I remember when the missionaries were teaching my friend the Law of Chasity (because you have to live it in order to get baptized). In the end she found it to be a bunch of "You can do this... You can't do that... You can't do that, that, or that." Who likes to be told limitations? This isn't the way to view it. The Law of Chasity is where you save any kind of sexual relationship for after you are married. Also we believe that marriage between a man and woman is God's plan. We respect ourselves and others in both our thoughts and our actions. When we live this we have confidence in our own worth, we have confidence in our relationships, and we save ourselves from inevitable regret or repressed regret. No one is perfect. We all have changes we need to make in our life to make it back on the Lord's planned path. We may doubt our worthiness, but in the eyes of the God our worth never changes. Heavenly Father loves us. The Lord sees us all as his children and I know He wants us to know we can be made whole through Him. Show more Show less
