Hi I'm Emma

I'm from Utah. I attended BYU for 2 semesters. I am on a mission in Mexico. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I attended Jordan High School, where I ran cross country and played tennis. I was a part of the National Honors Society and served on the school Seminary Council throughout my senior year. I have completed two semesters at Brigham Young University - I am almost a Junior - and will return when I get back from my mission. I am currently serving in the Mexico Mexico City West mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon, prayed about it, and have discovered that it is true, translated by God's chosen servant Joseph Smith, who established the church I belong to today. Because I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, I also know that we have a Heavenly Father who loves us more than we can imagine and wants us to return to Him someday. I know that He sent his son, Jesus Christ, to help us overcome our inevitable imperfections. The message of this church gives me hope. I have learned that I only feel true, lasting happiness when I strive to follow the divine direction it gives me.

How I live my faith

I have enjoyed serving in Young Women presidencies since I joined the organization. I served on my church Youth Council while I was a Junior in high school, and I was called as a member of the Seminary Council while a Senior. In both of these callings, I had the chance to speak to many of the youth of the church, plan enriching activities, and bear testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ on a quite regular basis. While at BYU, I had the chance to serve as a "Family Home Evening" leader, planning weekly activities for a group of fellow students. I also served on the Activities Committee, planning parties and events to help members of our church socialize. Now, back in my home ward and waiting to leave on my mission, I am serving as a Primary teacher, teaching lessons to the children.
