Hi I'm Lindsey

I grew up in Wyoming. I'm a dancer, a musician, and an athlete. I'm a student. I love to smile. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a small-town country girl at heart (but I like visiting the big city because of the energy and creativeness of it all.) I love feeling inspired by others to be adventuresome and free spirited. I have this really strong desire to serve others and to travel the world. I will be serving as a full-time missionary for 18 months in the Adriatic North Mission! I love dancing! Dancing has become a way for me to express myself, to bless the lives of others, and to have fun! Music has played a very integral part in my life and I find it very inspiring. I play the piano and violin. Soccer is the best sport ever! I'm an aspiring runner and I absolutely love being outside. I am a college student and I want to keep learning for the rest of my life. A few more random things: I have a fetish for anything argyle. Bagpipes hit the spot. I love lamps. I enjoy photography, reading, ice skating, cross country skiing, and crocheting, And I love life!

Why I am a Mormon

I live the gospel because I am happy when I live it. I am sooo blessed! There's a lot I don't know, but I do know that truth doesn't change and I can rely on the teachings and principles that I learn as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I love the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon. I grew up going to church and singing primary songs, but I really gained my testimony that God loves me and that Jesus Christ is my Savior though reading the Book of Mormon and praying about it. I can see God blessing me as I live the way He wants me to. I know God has a plan for me. My testimony and faith mean everything to me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be the best person that I know how to be. Christ is my example and I try to treat others how He would treat them and handle obstacles with optimism. I've set standards for myself and I try to set goals to improve myself as well. I believe in serving others and as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I have had specific opportunities to serve others by participating in assignments given to me in the church. I've served on youth groups and as a visiting teacher. Visiting teaching is a way to make sure all the women in the church and in the entire world really have a friend and are having their needs be met. I love it! More recently, I have served on an institute of religion student council as a folk dance president. I was in charge of thirteen couples that met weekly to practice dances and perform in the community and for peers. I was also involved in planning dances where the music didn't have vulgar language and the environment was fun and inviting to help others make friends and have fun through dance. It was one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences I have had. I have also been able to serve in the communities where I have lived in programs or for causes that have interested me. Living what I believe makes me happy so naturally I would want to share my beliefs with others. I also believe I have a responsibility to share them. One way many members of the church do this is by serving missions. I will be a full-time missionary for 18 months! In a few words, I live my faith by choosing to be happy and having an attitude of gratitude!
