Hi I'm Nicholas

I grew up in Missouri. I graduated from Nevada High School, and will leave for my mission on July 9, 2014. I am a Mormon.

About Me

From the moment I could walk and talk I have been interested in two things; cars and music. The first instrument I learned to play was the guitar, I was 6 years old. I also play trumpet and piano, and I am currently trying to learn the violin. The first engine I took apart was a Chevy 350. I played in the middle school and high school band through my senior year and I was in show choir my junior and senior year. I was in automotive technology my junior and senior year. My first project car was a 1983 Chevy Camaro that i paid $800 for.I learned how to paint cars, do suspension and brake work, and how to dignose engine problems because of that car. I also worked at walmart as a cashier for 2 years.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this chuch and was baptized when I was 8 years old. As I grew older and continued to study the scriptures and pray about everything that I was learning about, the more I knew that it was true. That I have a loving Heavenly Father who knows me and does care about me. I know without a doubt that this gospel is the truth, and in knowing that i can not just be lazy and do nothing. I must act and show my faith in Christ by living the way that he would want me to.

How I live my faith

I try to be cheerful and helpful as much as I can. I participate in service whenever I get the chance, I always find that by helping someone else i always feel better. I was awarded my Eagle scout award in the Boy Scouts of America and I try to help the younger scouts with their goals. I attend church every sunday and I go to every class, I love to learn about the gospel and how it can bless my life.

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

It is important for us to take care of our bodies because we only get one in this life and it is not invincible. We are God's children, he created us. Our bodies are sacred to him and they should be to us. It is also important to take care of our bodies because as we life righteously we can have the company of the Holy Ghost, but if we abuse our bodies or purposly damage them the Holy Ghostcan not dwell with us.
