Hi I'm Karin

Born in NY, raised in SLC, BYU cougar, history buff, snow skier, traveler, foodie, runner, and fashion lover. I'm a Mormon

About Me

From a young age I have always been fiercely independent. This independence has lead me to live in major cities, explore the world, try abnormal food, develop a taste for art and fashion, and indulge in history. Nothing makes me more excited then diving into a new culture! if that is traveling to a new destination or simply reading history books and maps. Of course, life is not always so exotic, so in the mean time I am loving life as a BYU cougar, finding joy in the simple pleasures of running, skiing, dance parties, french fries, laughing, 80's movies, friends, and of course family! Called to Serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 2014-2016

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was raised in a Mormon family, I believe that EVERYONE has some type of conversion experience. I was baptized at 8 and I always assumed that the church was true. However, I never actively searched out for a personal answer. It was not until I was 16 years old and I was living alone in Washington DC that I pleaded with my Heavenly Father in prayer for a witness of the truth. During this time I felt so alone and abandoned, I needed support and comfort. I decided to pull out my Bible and Book of Mormon in search of some comforting words. While reading the powerful scriptures I realized that God is real, Jesus is real, the Holy Ghost is real, and the Atonement is real. We had a personal relationship and because of Jesus Christ's Atonement I would never feel alone again. He would always be there for me. Since that moment I have always strived to live a better, Christ centered life. I know that the Mormon church is true and that nothing will bring more happiness and love in your life!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be an example of Jesus everyday. I constantly try to be my best self and show kindness and love to everyone that I meet. I want to show others that you can have a happy, wonderful, successful life AND follow Christ!
