Hi I'm Keaton

Grew up in Wisconsin but I'm a missionary in Tokyo right now. I write techno and like oldschool electronics. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up near Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I'm lucky enough to have a wonderful family of 6 and we find something fun in just about everything. My family means the world to me and I hope to have a similar one someday. I love meeting new people and having intelligient conversation. I enjoy nothing more than creative pursuit. Writing and performing electronic music with vintage electronics is my first love. Consequently, I also do hobbyist electronics work for my music and am very interested in all audio/visual design. I love watching science fiction and anime too. As far as sports, I enjoy running, basketball, swimming, and pretty much all other forms of physical activity. The mental, emotional, and spiritual benefits of healthy eating and exercise are amazing. I'm currently serving as a missionary, but I'll be attending college afterwards to study electrical engineering with the goal of taking it into the music field someday.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because keeping God's commandments has enriched my life. I've often heard how people think Mormon's live an excessively strict lifestyle. We have these guiding principles because our Heavenly Father loves us and they are His prescribed guidelines that will bring us more joy in this life and in the next than we can find anywhere else. They unlock our divine potential. I can promise that by living His standards your life will be opened up to heavenly influence and you will be able to find true and lasting happiness now. Additionally, only The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints maintains stewardship over the correct and proper Priesthood authority necessary to administer the ordinances of salvation. Through thoughtful study and careful application anyone can know of these truths for themselves through the power of the Holy Spirit - direct communication from God. That's exactly what has happened to me! The light that comes through understanding and partaking of Jesus Christ's Gospel is the sweetest prize - my desire is for everyone else to just try it too.

How I live my faith

As of right now, I'm a missionary in the Japan Tokyo South Mission. So, what occupies my mind at the moment is following Jesus Christ's charge to share his Gospel with all the world. I strive every day to learn what is important to others and to also share what is important to me. I couldn't be happier to be sharing such wonderful news and opening up such tremendous possibilities to my friends here in Japan. I live my faith by doing my very best to unconditionally love every person I meet. I know that God is humanity's literal Father in Heaven. Drawing from that knowledge I try to see everyone as He does - with compassion, understanding, and love. I live my faith in Jesus Christ by being inclusive. John, the Apostle of Jesus Christ, succinctly sums this up in his 1st epistle (or letter) to the early Christian church. From the Bible, 1st John 4:7-11 is as follows: "7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another."
